So, yesterday I watched Matt Walsh’s new documentary What is a Woman? Solely in terms of viewing experience I have to admit that there was little enjoyment to be had, as the Daily Wire’s website was unfortunately cyberattacked during the film’s premier, forcing the film to be delayed by about an hour or so. However, with the premier over, the film can now be watched without issue. Regardless, below is my review of the documentary itself.
As documentaries go, What is a Woman? is fairly long, coming in at a little over ninety minutes. However, minus one seemingly meaningless interview, the pacing is superb, with very little time wasted. Among the interviewees there is a good variety of ranging opinions, as Mr. Walsh embarks on a globe-trotting quest to find an answer to the titular question—and also to occasionally promote his bestselling LGBTQ+ children’s book Johnny the Walrus—from Los Angeles to Africa.
